La souveraineté alimentaire

L’agriculture pourrait nourrir la population mondiale. Pourtant, en 2022, près de 30% de la population mondiale ne bénéficiait pas d’un accès constant à des aliments et quelques 900 millions de personnes étaient en situation d’insécurité alimentaire grave rapport sur (voir le rapport sur L’État de la sécurité alimentaire et de la nutrition dans le monde 2023).

Poser la question de la souveraineté alimentaire, c’est interroger la société dans laquelle on souhaite vivre, c’est prendre position pour la solidarité internationale et l’émancipation des peuples : comment organise-t-on nos filières de production ? Aux dépens de qui ? A qui appartiennent les terres ? Comment protéger la qualité des sols, la santé des travailleur·ses et mettre fin aux pesticides ? C’est défendre les ressources naturelles (eau, forêts...), biens communs, et penser leur gestion collective.
